A Balanced Stay at ShorouqDuring our recent family visit to Muscat, we chose the Shorouq, drawn in by its spacious rooms and central location. The apartment we were given was surprisingly large, featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms, making it perfect for our family. While the decor might remind one of a student apartment, the kitchen was adequately equipped for our needs. It’s worth noting that the hotel may not meet the luxury expectations many Western travelers have. The wi-fi was unstable upon arrival, and contrary to the description, there’s no free shuttle service available from the airport. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, managing to help with our luggage issue and even allowing for a late checkout. The restaurant offered a delightful South Indian breakfast, catering to our children’s preferences, which was certainly a highlight. Shorouq presents a fair deal in terms of space and service for its price, suitable for families – just adjust your expectations accordingly!
